Amazon.com Review Building a city is a great and noble endeavor, but sometimes you just want to let loose and have some fun. Electronic Arts lets you turn in your city manager's contract and open up an amusement park in Sim Theme Park. Using all the strategic decision-making skills you learned from the other Sim games, you'll start with a tiny, newly built park with only a few rides, games, and concession stands, and try to turn it into an thriving must-see attraction that people will come from far and wide to visit. Of course, if this is your first simulation game, you'll still do fine--it'll just take you a bit longer to get the hang of it. There's plenty to do: train the staff, take care of prices, maintain trails, and (of course) build new rides. One of the many clever features of Sim Theme Park is the "visitor's perspective" view that allows you to ride the rides and meet the staff as if you were a guest. This can be helpful for getting insight into why people are staying away from the Regurgitator or some other new ride. Better still, you can go online and visit preconstructed theme parks--and a little bit of corporate espionage goes a long way. Once you're feeling secure and a little cocky, post your own parks online and wait for the accolades to start rolling in.--Rob Lightner
Product Description Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it's your very own theme park! And when it's all done you can jump right in, explore the midway, check out the sideshows, and try out the rides first-hand, just like one of your visitors

LOVED this game! October 17, 2007 Ms. Wendy Lo (Sydney, Australia) I keep playing and playing and I can't stop. I love how the graphics are so friendly-looking, right down to the faces of the little customers. Easy controls and because I'm such a perfectionist, I keep deleting and starting again and I never get sick of it because the effects (the resulting sims, their path, their actions) are different. I think it's well worth buying because you can play it for years and years to come :) Unfortunately, it does not work on a Windows XP System. I Googled and followed the threads about how to fix this but after many times of trying everything, I gave up. I am eagerly awaiting for, if any, a new version of this so it will work on my comp!!
A Wonderful Game in Need of an Update September 26, 2006 M. Damore (USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I loved this game from the instant that I installed it. It's funny, imaginative, and actually allows you to ride the rides! It's far too easy, being aimed toward a younger audience, but that never put me off. I would reccomend this game to anyone who enjoys the Sim series. My only disappointment is the lack of updates. The game is so outdated now that it will no longer run on my PC, because of Windows XP being installed. I wish that a newer version would be released so that I can play one of my all time favorites again.
Dumb, Dumb, Dumb, Dumb, Dumb March 2, 2006 1 out of 10 found this review helpful
This game is not worth a penny. The rides are dumb, the people look dumb and the guide is just plain stupid. I can't even say how bad this game is.

prety good but December 14, 2005 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
i like it but its so bloody hard to get space zone. the parks are cool. one hint to people who buy it: some patterns in the rides and shops make some bloomin well needed moolah(as you americans say).
