Golf at it's best! October 14, 2008 Timothy Garback (Fenton, MI United States) Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2009 is a great golf experience, if you do not own a next- gen version. 2009 has better graphics, and is a fun all-around game. I think the best feature is online play and your "best shot" clip saving system.
Very Fun Game October 6, 2008 D. Sharpe My family and I have a lot of fun with TW09. There are a few new features, but nothing that you have to have if you already have TW08. The putting seems to change from year to year, and I really like this year's style. But, I am disappointed that TW still hasn't come out with a multi-player tournament season. Having a handful of friends compete for the Cup in a season long tourney sounds like a natural extension to me.
Great! October 4, 2008 Isaac Grassnick (Varies USA) Simply put, I like it. The graphics are stunning at 1080p. It loads and saves fast, (much faster than the Xbox 360), and is generally user friendly. The Photo GameFace can be a bit tricky to get it to look right, but it can be done. Coupled with the EA daily challenges, you're sure to have an entertaining round.
If you play golf games, buy this October 3, 2008 kram59 This game isn't perfect. I have almost played every golf game ever developed, since "Links" (Some of you old timers will know what that is.) This game is very good. Even though my dude doesn't seem to look like me. (They allow you to add your own face to avitar.) Good mechanics, good graphics, (Of course I play on Playstation Three and have a 50 inch HD TV so I am spoiled. I like the role playing aspect of it and the fact that you can't save your game untill you complete the round. Otherwise of course one could play every hole till the got a birdie and then save and go on to the next hole.(Make sure you allow enough time to finish else you have to replay the whole 18 holes.) I don't think you can go wrong buying this version. the Alaska Dude
Love It But There Could Be Slight Improvements September 23, 2008 P. Branch (misawa ab, japan) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
this is the first Tiger game i've liked & kept since the 05 version. it's easy to play & looks really beautiful on the flat screen. the only issue's i have are: 1) you can only play up to 5 years in a career, there were 10 year careers on 05. you're supposed to increase over the years not decline. 2) you can't use multiple profiles in a PGA Tournament 3) the payouts are low. they were low on Tiger 05 but at least you still made six figures for winning. on 09 after winning my first event i only made $15,000. that's hardly enough to buy anything. 4) no winning celebrations. why can't they put a trophy presentation into the game, i mean it's bad enough you can't play Agusta National & put on the green jacket but at least they should put in trophy presentations when you win. this game's been around for almost a decade now & it's unexcusable that these things are not in it. they (EA Sports) need to put forth the same effort they put towards Madden & NCAA Football for Tiger. golf is a very popular game and alot of folks purchase this every year.
