Decent for a cheapy guitar. December 20, 2008 Mr. Rose This guitar DOES work for Rockband 2 (after patch). It feels cheap, looks decent (I like the solid black look - not as wild as others). I only really have two complaints. 1. The "strum" lever (whatever it is you hit w/your right hand) is rather loose. I find it easier to accidentally hit it than the "official" RB2 guitar. 2. A previous poster did complain about some problems w/the XMB. The button w/the thumbprint icon serves as the PS button on the controller. I've found that there is a HUGE amount of lag from pressing that button to the XMB showing up. This does lead to some confusion and frustration. All in all, this is a good back up guitar. I wouldn't recommend it for continuous primary play.
Plays well, breaks fast October 30, 2008 Y. B. Smart (PA, USA) Bought 2 for my son. They were fine for playing, but broke quickly. Replaced one through Amazon, which also lasted only a short while.
I love this guitar. September 4, 2008 Mighty ACE (TN, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This company makes a similar series of wireless guitars for the PS2 and it's the best controller I have. It has a good feel on the fret buttons, strum bar and whammy bar! The Rock Band 1.05 patch now allows this guitar to work with the game. I've tried it and it works! Now, I did have some trouble with buy used controllers but if you take care of it, it WILL do the job.
PS3 Axe - Love it! August 29, 2008 Kristy M. Eaton (Otisfield, Maine) I love this guitar controller...I think it looks even sharper than the one that came with the game. It plays great.
Sad Just Very Sad May 31, 2008 Luciano Jaramillo (Phoenix, Arizona) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This guitar is a piece of crap. It sucks it does not work correctly and is cheaply made. It turned off my PS3 several times or paused the game or brought up the systems menu. It does not work correctly at all. I got it for Guitar Hero 3 and the thing must be defective or just poorly made. I know it doesn't work with Rock Band because it says so. This is just a very sad piece of merchandise. [...].
