This product does not work on the new version of the PS2. The new PS2 recognizes the adaptor, but the adaptor doesn't power up the controllers.

This multitap is for the old (fat) Ps2's. It will not work on the new slim PS2's so don't come here looking for a multitap for the new PS2's. This one's for the fat PS2's and boy is it good! This multitap is very good! It looks and feels and plays exaclty like the official sony multitap! This is THE multitap to buy for your old school PS2.
The only downsides to this multitap is it doesnt support Ps1 multitap games. But that isnt too bad since personally I had only 2 multitap compatitple games for my PS1. And one of them was an abosulote garbage game. Also for me i had a little bit of trouble putting the multitap into the PS2. I kept on thinking it would break if I pushed it in to hard sicne when i would try to put the multitap intot he PS2 i felt resistance. So that kind of got annoying..but once you get the multitap in..its a balll park from there on!!
Buy this mulitap you won't be dissapointed!!!

the multiplayer adapter is very good when you have a big screen tv and you have four friends over but when your by your self it's just a waste of money

I was disappointed to find out that it will not work on the PS2 with the old playstation games.
