Amazon.com Product Description The PS2 network adapter offers both dialup and broadband connectivity to play PS2 games online. It includes a startup disc with playable demos of Frequency and Madden NFL 2003, as well as video demos of ATV Offroad Fury 2, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, and Tribes: Aerial Assault. To use the network adapter, you need a PlayStation2 game system, an 8 MB memory card with at least 137 KB of space, and a dialup or broadband Internet connection with an Internet service provider. The network adapter works with just about any ISP service, including AOL, AT&T WorldNet, EarthLink, Prodigy/SBC, and Sympatico. Check with your ISP for details. Connect the network adapter to the PlayStation2 system by lining up the unit's connectors to the expansion bay located in the rear of the PS2. Once your hardware is set up, the user must insert the network adapter startup disc in order to configure the ISP network data and connect to the Internet. Simply go through the ISP setup process located on the main menu of the startup disc. Your network configuration data will be saved onto your memory card. The ISP network configuration will work only on the specific PlayStation2 system you used for the initial ISP setup. Network configuration data is not transferable from system to system.
Product Description The PS2 Network Adapter allows you to reach new heights in your gaming, by opening the online world up to you!

It does the job! August 5, 2008 Steve (Ghettoes of Cleveland) Nowdays PS2 game consoles have a built in ethernet. you wouldnt need this, but since I am old school, I ahve to have old stuff, so I have an old PS2 that requires this adapor. And it works fine ONCE you download and configure your PS2 for it, but eevrything it good.
Awsome, And Easy May 25, 2008 Nebix Records The easiest way to get your fat Ps2 online in minutes, just plug right in and poof your online. If you have an old Ps2 buy this adapter, you will not regret it.
Available at local Gamestop Store May 16, 2008 KCP (Portland, ME) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been looking for the network adapter for sometime and purchased used one on Amazon. It was delivered within about a week by vendor. I haven't used it yet because I'm waiting for the wireless bridge to drop down. I stopped by a local Gamestop store and they had at least 10 for sale. Way cheaper than listed on Amazon. I mean by 50%!
The best investment for a PS2 March 1, 2008 Bernardo Fernandez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) When i bougth this network adapter my PS2 had the DVD lens worn out so i install a 120Gb hard drive with this adapter and make a backup of my games and i can play without using the DVD. You need a memory card with a HDLoader installed so the PS2 read from the HD instead the DVD. This help me to make my PS2 very portable. I don't need to travel with all the DVDs.

If it were not for socom there would be no need... socom server problems aside the best thing about the ps2 network adaptor is playing socom online.
