Product Description 1 guitar for both Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Save money by using just one guitar for all your games! Wireless, 10 fret keys, Selector switch to change your effects when playing Rock Band, Whammy Bar for those times when you need to add some extra emphasis, 2 piece design for easy shipment and storage, accelerometer in the guitar body allows you to employ saves and launch bonus time by moving the guitar up and down. Includes strap. Works for both LEFT and RIGHT handed players, due to ability to put the strap on either side. Power saving feature saves your batteries, with "wake up" button. Also includes thumbstick, start, and select for added control. Wireless, so you are free to move as you want to! When playing GUITAR HERO games you have to provide a wiimote to plug into the guitar. When playing ROCK BAND games you do NOT need a wiimote to plug into the guitar. Requires 2 AA batteries when playing Rock Band (not included).

A solid guitar December 2, 2008 Sally J. 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've had this guitar for a little over 2 weeks now. First impressions: The guitar itself is very solid feeling, which I was surprised at. Enough weight to feel substantial and not too heavy. I expected a cheap plastic toy, and was happy it was better than that. The guitar strap is not very good quality I think. The dual game functionality works well. But, you have to leave the wiimote in to play one game, and for the other game you plug in a dongle. I would have preferred a nice, simple switch. But, I don't switch between games often so its not a big problem. The strum bar is more like a switch, compared to other guitars I've played. You really know when you hit it, you can feel the click with your finger. This is nice, I can't tell when the strum bar is exactly activated on other guitars I've tried (like the one that came with the game). But the benefit isn't that great, I can play well on both the guitar that came with the game and this guitar. I was worried the two piece design would be flimsy, but its very solid. Overall the build quality seems very good. I'll try it for a few more weeks and post an update.
