1 out of 5 stars Why on earth would I need an external cooler for Wii?   November 28, 2008

For crying out loud... Why does this product even exist? It's as if ever since Xbox 360s started suffering the RROD epidemic, peripheral makers expect us to believe that every game console under the sun will die if we do not buy their ridiculous external coolers. And seriously, an external cooler for THE WII? What is this world coming to? The Wii's actual motherboard is about the size of a candy bar, and produces so little heat that its internal fan has no problem expelling it. I have not heard of ANY examples of a Wii unit overheating, so again, why does this product exist? If your Wii doesn't have overheating problems, it certainly will after you've sucked all the air out of it and worn out its built-in fan with a stupid device like this. Avoid these kinds of devices at all costs, they'll do nothing but void your warrenty.
