The batteries (4xAAA) that come with this charger are only 750mAh. You can't even find rechargeable batteries with that low capacity.
Since this charger works off the Wii's USB (or even on a PC) port, in order for this charger to work (recharge batteries in remote), your Wii must be powered ON all the time which translates in to "shortening" your Wii's life span.

Well, with the release of the Wii came a flurry of products that aid in its use. Of the them, is the remote charger. Plenty of companies have come out with their own chargers for the Wii. But all do the same basic thing, they charge the remote.
I purchased this Dragon made Double Wii remote charger from eBay. Price wise, it was the best, 18.50 purchase, including shipping. eBay should seriously be called "wiiBay". But anyway, most of the other chargers market for much higher prices. And the thing is, they all do the same thing, have the same technology. Indicator light, place to put the Wii Remote to charge, and a connection to a USB port. Why pay a premium price for something that can be acquired for less and work just as well? And lets just say, this charger works like a charm for me.
Oh, one thing I don't get is that in the rating thingy for this review, it asks "how fun is this game" and "how do you rate this game overall?" This is NOT a game, Amazon.com! Its a charger! And a good one at that! Read and heed.
