Just a little off kilter April 5, 2008

I bought this faceplate skin for my wife's Guitar Hero Xplorer Guitar, with the best of intentions, thinking it would add a little touch of classy femininity for her guitar. Maybe I was hoping the little pink heart would soften her game and she might not destroy me so badly when we played head to head in our game room. There was a significant problem with this product though...the cutouts didn't match the openings for the control buttons, even though it was purported to be specifically for the XBox 360 Xplorer guitar controller. As a result, to get it to fit I had to cut quite a bit of the skin around the bottom of the button openings. That detracted significantly from the appearance of her guitar-and instead of making her guitar look better, it looks crude and off-center. She won't admit this, but now that it's stuck on her guitar I think she beats me even worse at the game.
