Amazon.com Product Description Blasting through 18 missions in four campaigns, players will navigate their lethal military chopper through whizzing gunfire and thundering explosions. The Fireblade choppers are loaded with all the state-of-the-art weapons needed to save the world: sniper cannons, swarm missiles, EMP weapons, rail guns, and laser-guided homing missiles. Multiple camera angles let players zoom in and out of the frenzied action, which takes place over treacherous environments such as the Swiss Alps, the Arizona desert, the Amazon jungle, and the Arctic Circle. To conquer terrorist enemies, pilots can run silently in stealth mode, evade enemies with thermal-imaging sensors, and prevent raising alarms by remaining undetected with EMP weapons. The game also contains a mini-documentary titled The Roar of War, created from actual combat helicopter footage.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! December 21, 2003 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
This game is the worst thing to come out for the XBOX console. The coolest thing about this title is the name, it's all downhill after that. This would have been a cool game for first generation PSx, but the gameplay, graphics, control, sound, objectives, weapons, etc... are all way below XBOX caliber. When this game turned up missing after my XBOX and games were borrowed I was actually relieved I didn't have to throw it away myself. Worst game EVER!!!
stuck forever on mission 2 February 12, 2003 Capt. Soggy (raymond, wa United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
played mission where you have to blow up a whole bunch of boats and barges going down a river in a certian amount of time. I've tried aleast 75 to 100 times and can't get any further. When are they going to program in by-pass capability so when your stuck at least you can move on, finish the game and get your moneies worth of play from it.
FireBlade December 31, 2002 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Well I don't know why it's not released here on amazon.com until January, I just picked it up at gamestop a few days ago for $... brand new and I've been playing it. So far it's pretty cool, nice graphics and detail on the Helo itself, but the everionments such as mountain terrain, etc are medium quality. The controls are easy to figure out, and it doesn't take long to figure out how to use the weapons of which there is a nice assortment with cool effects for some of them. The sound is good for the helo and for the explosions, vehicle sounds, voice overs, etc. I'm only on the 4th mission so I can't really comment any further, since I haven't quite experienced everything yet. I'm not sure why it was only $... at Gamestop? Maybe because it's only single player as I don't recall that it has mutiplayer funtionality. Bottom line, before you buy FireBlade, either read reviews of it at ign.com or gamespot.com, or rent it. If the regular price is going to be $..., then it's worth the money, but I wouldn't pay any more than that.
Fire Blade December 31, 2002 ... I've played it a bit more ... and I'm on a mission where I have to be in "stealth mode" and it's extremely frustrating trying to snipe the enemy on the ground (trying to protect my ground troops) since they blend into the environment and even in night vision it's difficult since the camera view really [stinks] if you're trying to pinpoint a stationary target, let alone moving targets! ...I still reccomend this game as a rental, but unless your a true helo sim die hard, I wouldn't buy it and I think I'm going to trade mine in for something else.
